JOHN MADSON
Owner and Founder
Mason Creek Taxidermy
Born and raised in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, John Madson started doing taxidermy work more than 30 years ago. As an avid small and large game hunter and angler, John’s passion for taxidermy began with his desire to capture memories of some of his hunts as a young outdoorsman. John taught himself the craft, starting with a personal collection of mounts. Others who saw John’s detailed work started asking for his help with their own hunting and fishing wins, and the demand continued to increase.
John opened Mason Creek Taxidermy in 1993, naming the business after a creek near his property at the time in Hartland, Wisconsin. Three decades later, John has honed his skills to a level that’s only possible through years and years of experience. Based in Albany, Wisconsin, his customers come from near and far. John prides himself on providing authentic, artistic and tasteful work that will keep your hunting and fishing memories looking great for years to come. Like you, John believes in the value of this beautiful, traditional craft, and he has worked hard to make Mason Creek Taxidermy one of the best shops in the trade.
